Kane County Cougar’s Reading Program
Ozzie’s reading program will begin Monday, January 19th, and end Sunday, March 15th. The final turn in date is no later than Friday, March 23rd. We will send the ticket order forms home sometime in April.
Each grade level will have a different reading requirement:
Early-Childhood, MidValley and Kindergarten will read 120 minutes, 1st and 2nd graders 150 minutes, and 3-5th graders 200 minutes.
The reading program should be done at home, but you can count any reading homework as minutes towards the program. If your child is in the younger grades, they can have a parent read to them to reach their goal. Please fill out a separate form for each child. Entire slips will be turned in at the end of the eight weeks. Please do not cut off individual slips, just turn in the entire sheet after it is completed.
Students who complete the required reading will receive a free ticket to the Saturday, May 2nd 6:30 game, drawstring bag, hot dog and drink voucher as well as a Golden Ticket which provides a complimentary admission for all June-September home games.
